The third day, which is Diwali or Lakshmi Puja, is the most crucial day of this festival series. On this day, people visit their friends and family to exchange gifts and sweets. They also light lamps and candles to welcome prosperity and light in their life.

The fourth day, is the Govardhan Puja where most of the individuals in India, build up small cow dung piles as a symbol of how Lord Krishna defeated Indra, by lifting the mountains.

The fifth day, or the last day, is celebrated as Bhai Dooj, which symbolizes the bond between brothers and sisters. Siblings perform the ceremony by putting on a tilak and pray for each other’s well being.
