Piyush Goyal announced this initiative on 1 February 2019. Narendra Modi launched it on 24 February 2019, named “PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana” (PM Kisan Status Yojana).

Small and marginal farmers are intended to benefit from the scheme. In order to support farmers, the government launched a scheme that offers 6000 rupees per year over three installments.

Steps for check PM Kisan Status

  • Access the official website; click on “Farmer Corner”. Select “beneficiary list”.
  • After the new tab opens, put your details accordingly, i.e. name of your village, block, district, and sub-district. Further click on “get report”.
  • There will be a list of beneficiaries in your area, find yourself on it.

  4. After entering details new page will be open with your name, and application status. Moreover, it informs you about the amount deposited by the government into your bank account.

Citizens having land under agriculture use are eligible for PM Kisan Status Yojana. The amount of landholdings is a determining factor. Small and marginal farmers are highly eligible for this scheme.

Farmers Not Eligible For PM Kisan Status Yojana Scheme

  • The scheme is not available to farmers who pay taxes to the government.
  • A farmer who retired from a government job and receiving a pension of more than Rs10, 000 is not eligible for the scheme.
  • Those schemes are not also available to doctors, engineers, or layer candidates.
  • The scheme is not available to beneficiaries with high economic status.
  • It is not possible to enroll farmers, holding constitutional posts.

Numerous names of farmers who are not eligible for the scheme’s benefits but are taking advantage of it have come to light, according to reports. In such a case, the government has directed all appropriate action to be taken.

Farmers Eligible for PM Kisan Yojana

Under this scheme, landholders’ families can receive benefits. Importance of Kisan Credit Card (KCC)

To provide credit to farmers on time, the government launched the credit card scheme in 1998. (NABARD) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development created the program.

Farmers can apply for the card through the official website of PM Kisan Yojana. Here is the procedure below.

  2. After entering into “farmers corner”, click on the “download KCC form”.
  3. A loan application form will be open. Download this form and fill in all your details accordingly.
  4. The filled form and required documents will be submitted to the bank of the Farmer.
  5. After completing the process from the bank your KCC will be provided to you.
  6. KCC card provides different benefits to the farmers.
  7. Using a KCC card, a collateral-free loan can be taken to fulfill their basic requirements, e.g. to buy basic equipment and to cover the ground necessities of an agricultural farm.
  8. Kisan credit card provides loans with a low interest rate.
  9. Farmers also have flexibility while repaying their loans.
